How To Reach The Electors

Trump hasn’t won yet! Oh, to be sure, this is a LONG shot, my friends. But when faced with the horror show that would be a Trump regime, I’ll take every chance I’ve got. As you may know, the Electoral College is a body of people who are selected by the voters to cast the final ballots for the office of president of the United States. This is a weird and archaic system that no other country uses…but it is the American way.

The Electors cast their votes anonymously, so there is no way to tell who voted as directed by their state’s popular election outcome and who instead chose to vote “faithlessly.” As such, no Elector can be realistically punished for voting his or her conscious. With the huge number of “never Trump” Republicans out there, there is a chance that some of them will see the light and do the right thing. I urge all patriotic Americans to contact these folks and plead with them to save our country from fascism.

We encourage you to personalize this, and to address it to a specific elector if possible. 

Dear [Elector],
I’m writing to you to encourage you to decline to cast your electoral vote for Donald Trump. Over the course of his career, as well as this election, he has proven himself to be unfit for the role of commander-in-chief. He has displayed disregard not only for multiple groups of Americans, but for our country itself.His close ties to Russia, his volatile temperament, his lack of experience, and his bigotry are not qualities that we want representing us to the rest of the world. We do not believe that he represents the views of the majority of the American people, regardless of political affiliation. Additionally, he lost the popular vote by the most significant margin in history.Please consider casting your vote for another candidate, or abstaining from voting entirely. As a representative of the people, you have a responsibility to listen to your constituents, and millions of us have spoken: do not elect Donald Trump to the White House.Thank you for your time.
